This 9th century mosque was one of the best preserved and earliest of the Islamic period. It had intricately carved stucco decorations of flowers and vines reaching up to its nine (noh) domes. It is currently covered by a canopy (funded by ACTED), but cracks can be seen and it needs immediate repairs.
