Ea Sola 2Originally introduced into Việt Nam during the colonial period, western music and dance traditions developed after 1954 in the context of close cultural links with China and the former Soviet Union, yet they have always reflected a uniquely Vietnamese aesthetic. Within the past five years an exciting new contemporary music and dance scene has begun to develop, focused on the capital city of Hà Nội.
