Opened in 2002 by Hà Nội-based arts consultant Suzanne Lecht, and relocated to a new space in Summer 2007, Art Việt Nam is a gallery which specialises in diversified Vietnamese art. Dedicated to excellence and singularity, its misson is to present works of artistic integrity which exemplify the best of Việt Nam’s artistic heritage. Performance art, installation, painting, sculpture, photography and art exchange programmes with international countries are presented. Art Director Suzanne Lecht gives slide presentations on contemporary Vietnamese fine art and also holds monthly study groups on various aspects of Việt Nam's culture. Works by Vietnamese artists, overseas Vietnamese and also foreign artists working in Việt Nam and the South East Asia region are shown on an ongoing basis. Around four or five one-month exhibitions are held each year, along with a concurrent rotating exhibition. Contemporary artists whose work is currently on display here include Trần Lương, Trường Tân, Phạm Ngọc Dương, Nguyễn Quang Huy, Lê Quảng Hà, Lê Quốc Việt, Lê Thừa Tiến, Nguyễn Cầm, Nguyễn Quân, Nguyễn Thị Châu Giang, Nguyễn Nghĩa Cương, Nguyễn Văn Cương, Nguyễn Bạch Dân, Hà Trí Hiếu, Chính Lê, Mai Đắc Linh, Maritta Nurmi, Đinh Thị Tham Poong, Simon Redington, Trần Hoàng Sơn, Nguyễn Minh Thành and Phạm Quang Vinh.
