The Việt Nam Buddhist Association is the national association for Buddhism. It occupies a large area of land in Hồ Chí Minh City where its President, the Most Venerable Thích Minh Châu, translated Tibetan scriptures in Pali language into Vietnamese during the early 1970s. The Association incorporates the Việt Nam Buddhist Studies Association and the Vạn Hạnh Dhyana Institute and maintains an important archive of material relating to Buddhism in Việt Nam.
