The Division of Planning and Finance of the State Records and Archives Department is responsible for assisting the Director General in achieving unified administration of planning and conducting statistical surveys regarding archival work and national archive records nationwide. Its activities include: preparing comprehensive development strategies for the Vietnamese archival profession, organising and monitoring the implementation of these strategies; providing detailed guidance in the preparation of long-term and short-term plans; gathering statistical data on archives work and national records management on a nationwide basis; supervising financial affairs relating to the allocatio of funds to subordinate units; and advising the Director General in the administration of capital budgets, equipment and assets of the State Records and Archives Department.
