Opened in 2004 and currently run as a non-profit joint venture project of the Việt Nam General Book Company (SAVINA) and Discovery Communication PTE Ltd of Singapore, Hanoi Cinematheque comprises an 89-seat auditorium equipped with state of the art projection and sound equipment. Films screened here are presented in their original version, with English subtitles for non-English language films. The Cinematheque is operated as a membership organisation and also features an attractive courtyard bar and restaurant.
