Created by a Montreal-based publisher with the support of US, Canadian and Vietnamese artists and educators, this unique website presents the art of Việt Nam - and the people who make it happen - to an international audience. The majority of the art books featured are printed in limited editions in Việt Nam, often in lots of less than 1,000 copies. Many of these rare art books were not available in the United States or Europe prior to the launch of VietnamArtBooks.com. The mission of the website is (i) to make Vietnamese art books available worldwide through the Internet by presenting and promoting the most complete collection of Vietnamese art books and art information; (ii) to encourage education, understanding and knowledge about Vietnamese art, artists, galleries, art schools, art associations, museums and other organisations active in the Vietnamese art scene; (iii) to create a unique, up-to-date and global forum for Vietnamese art activities; and (iv) to list all Vietnamese artists' shows and exhibitions in Việt Nam, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
