Opened in 1997, Vĩnh Phúc Provincial Museum contains displays of artefacts relating to the geology, natural history, archaeology, history, ethnology and arts of Vĩnh Phúc. Displays of note include costumes and artefacts relating to the Sán Dìu and Dao ethnic minorities, specialist crafts from different districts and Vĩnh Phúc's role in the Vietnamese revolution. The ground floor entrance area houses a spacious temporary exhibition area for visiting exhibitions. The museum functions as the provincial government office responsible for conservation and museums development under the professional guidance of the National Cultural Heritage Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Hà Nội.
