The Hạ Lôi Festival is held every year in honour of the celebrated uprising in 40 CE led by the Trưng sisters (Hai Bà Trưng), who are said to have been born in the village. The village temple was set up to honour the sisters - Trưng Trác and Trưng Nhị - and their father Thi Sác, and is now the focus of the festival, which includes a ceremonial procession of unmarried girls aged 18-20 carrying three palanquins.
