 The Centre for Research Support and Development of Culture (abbreviated A&C), focuses on research, consultancy and co-ordination between individuals, arts organisations, communities and their counterparts in arts and culture. The centre operates as an 'extended arm' of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) for the development of arts and culture.The Centre was established according to Decision 522/QĐ-LHH on 11 May2005 by the Việt Nam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA); registration certificate A-371 was issued by the Việt Nam Ministry of Science of Technology on 6 June 2005. A&C's activities are not for profit.
The Centre's activities currently focus on the continued development of culture management training curricula, following on from the pioneering Ford Foundation-funded project 'Arts Management Curriculum Development in the Context of a Market Economy'of 2000-2004.
