Galerie Quỳnh was originally founded in 2000 by Quỳnh Phạm and Robert Cianchi as a virtual gallery featuring the latest developments in the Vietnamese art scene, including a diary of forthcoming exhibitions and online sales of work by leading contemporary artists. With support from Swiss collectors Hương and Karl Knuesel, Galerie Quỳnh opened a permanent gallery space in the centre of Hồ Chí Minh City in December 2003. It currently represents established artists Nguyễn Trung, Nguyễn Tấn Cương, Đỗ Hoàng Tường and Trần Văn Thảo, along with a range of up-coming artists.
