Dates and duration: Biennial, even-numbered years
Launched in 1996, the prize was offered every two years at the Khmer Literature Festival in the categories: novels and poems until 2000. Prizewinners included: 1996 – Un Sok Hieng (1st Prize, Novel), Kim Pik Pinun (2nd Prize, Novel); Yieng Sokony (1st Prize, Poem), Ven Son (2nd Prize, Poem); 1998 – Nop Bayarith (1st Prize, Novel), In So (2nd Prize, Novel); Som Sophierin (1st Prize, Poem), Pov Pisith (2nd Prize, Poem). Unfortunately both the prize and the festival have been in abeyance since 2000 due to lack of funds.
