Dates and duration: Biennial, odd-numbered years
Launched in 1995, this prize was offered every two years until 1999 in the categories: novels and poems. Prizewinners included: 1995 – Mao Samnang (1st Prize, Novel), Pal Vannarirak (2nd Prize, Novel); Sok Sothon (1st Prize, Poem), Pol Pisey (2nd Prize, Poem); 1997 – Ouch Vutha (1st Prize, Novel), Uom Niroth (2nd Prize, Novel); Uk Sau Bol (1st Prize, Poem), Eum Sarom (2nd Prize, Poem); 1999 – Hou Yath (1st Prize, Novel), Nget Sophoan (2nd Prize, Novel); Som Sophierin (1st Prize, Poem), Ms Hy Kim Siep (2nd Prize, Poem). Unfortunately both the prize and the festival have been in abeyance since 2000 due to lack of funds.
