Founded in 2002 within the Faculty of Music of the Royal University of Fine Arts, the Chaktamuk Consort comprises Him Savy (flute), Uy Tach (violin), Heang Sophon (viola) and Sim Ratha (‘cello). Encouraged by the growth of interest in western classical repertoire and stimulated by a concern with historically informed performance, the Chaktomuk Consort has been a major force in the performance of early repertoire, particular post Baroque and pre Classical Music.
