Sorasinh Bannavong was born in 1949 in Vientiane and trained at the National School of Fine Arts (now the National Faculty of Fine Arts) in Vientiane from 1964-1969. He has engaged in several different kinds of work and travelled to almost all parts of the country. Focusing on people, their traditions, cultures and natural environment, his work has been staged at numerous exhibitions including one at the Novotel Vientiane (1996), the Annual Exhibition of the Isaan and Lao Artists Group in Khon Kaen (2004), and the Lao Artists’ Group Painting Exhibition in Hà Nội, Việt Nam (2004). His work is on sale at Mask Gallery in Vientiane.
