Located some 30 kilometres outside the city on a picturesque spot by the banks of the Nam Ngum River, this private textile gallery was opened in 1998 with the assistance of private donors and features traditional textiles from all of the major ethno-linguistic groups of Laos. It does not sell textiles but operates as a research resource for visiting weaving study groups. The Maha Sila Viravongs Library is located nearby.
