Established in July 1975, Nakhon Luang Vientiane Printing House is one of the largest printing companies in Laos, with a staff of nearly 100. Run by the Vientiane Prefectural Government, it prints numerous newspapers and magazines, including Vientiane Mai (New Vientiane) Newspaper and Vientiane Thourakit Sangkhom Weekly, Lao Commercial News, Mae Ying Lao (Lao Women) Newspaper, Khoueng Luang Prabang (Luang Prabang Province) Magazine and Khoueng Vientiane (Vientiane Province) Magazine, as well as a variety of books and other documents. It is also the only printer in Laos authorised to print Lao passports
