Oslo KonserthusOslo Konserthus was officially opened on 22 March 1977 and is Oslo’s main concert hall and one of the most important institutions in Norwegian musical and cultural life. The architecture, the central position in the City of Oslo close to the sea, the representative rooms and the fantastic acoustics in the main concert hall, makes the concert house a popular arena for some of the world's greatest artists.
Oslo Konserthus supports all kind of people with good moments in their lives, which becomes more and more important. The aim is to give the audience a very special experience in a special atmosphere.
The Konserthus consists of two concert halls, meeting rooms, rooms for musical practising, foyer areas, bars, ticket office, technical rooms and offices.
The Main Hall has capacity of 1,404 seats, in addition to the possibility of up to 226 seats in the choir terrace (behind the stage). The Small Hall has a maximum capacity of 266 seats in amphi, but can also be transformed into, among other things, a large room with a flat floor. Vestibule areas in the Concert Hall can be used as exhibition areas and have a capacity of serving up to 1,400 people, spread on the different areas. A catering company takes care of all services.
