The School of Design and Media Arts is one of the premier centres for 3-D design, film and multi-media in Scotland. Its reputation spans over three decades with a philosophy of providing a rigorous professional training, set within a creative arts education and informed by critical theory and research practice. The School has over 500 students enrolled on a range of undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral programmes. These include; Photography, Film and Imaging; Screen Development; Interior Architecture; Consumer Product Design and Design Futures. All of these have been particularly successful in attracting high calibre students, many of whom have won international awards and progressed on to become major figures in the fields that we represent. The School enjoys excellent links and partnerships with the professions and its academic staff engage in a range of high level consultancy, creative practice and research that supports their teaching. This ensures that the School is a major player in the future development of the creative and cultural industries in Scotland and the UK.
