Moray College is based in Elgin, Moray, Scotland and was established in 1971 as Elgin Technical College, under the direct control of the local education authority. It was recognised as, and operated as, a further education college. In 1978 the college's name was changed to Moray College of Further Education. At incorporation in 1993 the name of the college changed to Moray College. In 1997 the college became an active partner in the University of the Highlands and Islands Project (UHIP) and increased its provision of higher education programmes. In April 2001 UHIP became a designated higher education institution known as the UHI Millennium Institute (UHI) recognised for funding by the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council (SHEFC). The College offers BA programmes in Fine Art.
