The School of Creative Arts offers a wide range of full and part time courses in the areas of Fine Art, Acting, Video and Radio Production, Graphic Design, Textiles and Fashion and Digital Media. It has an enviable record of progressing students to employment and higher education and aims to provide individuals with the highest levels of guidance and support. Work experience and professional practice are core elements of its higher level courses, providing the best possible start to a career in Creative Arts. The School's courses are designed to meet the needs of individuals at every level. Students work under the guidance of course tutors and specialist lecturers, and with the assistance of technicians and other support staff. They also have access on an individual basis to practical facilities and resources in order to undertake personal research and self directed study, which increasingly forms a part of courses at advanced levels, where students are encouraged to take greater responsibility for managing their own programmes of learning. The School's facilities include studios for fine art, design, fashion and textiles, radio and television production, a drama theatre and an extensive computer aided design suite. It has strong links with business and industry and has European and international partners. Students regularly undertake foreign visits and participate in exchanges. The School offers opportunities for students at every level, from school leavers to adult returners..
