An Iodhlann (Gaelic for 'the Stackyard') is Tiree's historical centre. It has a collection of 8,000 papers, photographs, tapes and letters about every aspect of the island. There is also a growing collection of artefacts and from time to time the Centre also stages temporary exhibitions. The Centre also provides a genealogical information service.An Iodhlann is a recognised Scottish Charity and has, on its Advisory Council, some of the most distinguished scholars in Scotland.
