The Council's community planning process does not refer explicitly to arts and culture. Major aspects of it can be found at http://www.angus.org.uk. The Council also runs the Tartan Day event in Arbroath which celebrates Scotland's culture and links with America.
Angus Council provides a comprehensive book and information service and manages full-time libraries, part-time libraries and mobile libraries in the area, as well as providing a comprehensive library and cultural resources service to Angus Schools Educational Resources Unit. It runs several museums, archives and local history organisations and projects and promotes a wide range of cultural events.
NB the Archaeology Service for Angus is provided by Aberdeenshire Archaeology Service, a small team of archaeologists located within Aberdeenshire Council's Planning and Environmental Services, based in Aberdeen.
