Wide ranging city festival. The first festival occurred in 2004. Jazz artists from the USA, Scotland, Norway, Mexico and England took part and there were a number of featured schools bands from the north-east. The festival also held instrumental and vocal workshops aimed at developing the skills of future jazz artists.
