East Ayrshire Library, Registration and Information Services offers a range of information services to meet the needs of the local community.
It operates the central lending library at the Dick Institute in Kilmarnock and the Baird Institute Library in Cumnock, along with 19 community libraries and two mobile libraries. It is also the East Ayrshire point of contact for Ayrshire Archives, the Ayrshire-wide archives service jointly funded by East, North and South Ayrshire Councils.
East Ayrshire Library, Registration and Information Services is also responsible for the registration of births, deaths and marriages in East Ayrshire.
