Aberdeen Arts Development Team provides a comprehensive range of arts activities both at its city centre base, Whitespace, and at outreach venues throughout the City.
The programme at Whitespace includes a range of arts workshops ranging from stained glass and jewellery making to life drawing and holiday classes for children. A charge is made for these activities, and places are bookable in advance, though concession rates are available.
Community Arts Officers work with community groups throughout the city on wide ranging projects, from film and video making, public art and drama, through to community consultation events and fun days. Working in partnership with outside agencies and Council services the Team seeks to underpin Aberdeen City's social inclusion strategies, encourage local community capacity building and personal development, whilst increasing the opportunity for local people to access the arts and culture in exciting and innovative ways.
