Restored in 1878, the Archdiocese of Glasgow comprises the City of Glasgow (except the parishes of St Benedict and St Clare, Easterhouse; Baillieston; and Craigend & Garthamlock); East Dunbartonshire (except the parishes of Lennoxtown, Milton of Campsie and Torrance); West Dunbartonshire; in Argyll and Bute, the parishes of Cardross, Garelochhead, Helensburgh and Rosneath; in East Renfrewshire, the part of the parish of Thornliebank lying outside the City of Glasgow; in North Lanarkshire, the parishes of Condorrat, Cumbernauld and Croy and the area of Auchinloch.
