Founded in 1961 as a community theatre, Cumbernauld Theatre was later constituted as a charitable trust in 1979 and is supported by the Scottish Arts Council and the local authority. Housed in a series of 17th-century farm cottages, the theatre has always placed great emphasis on its audience and strives to bring the best possible quality arts and entertainment experiences to a wide range of audience and participants.Its vision and mission is 'to bring the artist and audience together in a shared experience that is of mutual benefit will change lives and shape our future.'
The theatre produces and tours medium scale theatre throughout the country. It is an award-winning company that has pioneered many methodologies and practices in theatre in a range of contexts – education, inclusion, enterprise, etc.

Lighting: Strand M24 72-channel desk, 72 x 2kW dimmers, plus 2 x Pulsar 12-way manual boards, operated from control room, no temporary supply but 13A sockets available; 12 spots, 22 fresnels, 6 floods subject to availability
