Glasgow Digital Library
Glasgow Digital LibraryThe Glasgow Digital Library is based at the Centre for Digital Library Research (CDLR) in the University of Strathclyde. It was set up as part of the Research Support Libraries Programme, supplemented by funding from Scran and Resources for Learning in Scotland (RLS) for specific digitisation projects.
Major collections include the following:
Aspect - access to Scottish Parliamentary Election Candidate Materials 1999 and 2003
Red Clydeside - a history of the labour movement in Glasgow 1910-1932
Springburn Virtual Museum - photographs from Springburn Community Museum 1880-1987
Maxton Papers - images and documents about James Maxton 1885-1946
Scottish Mountaineering Club Journal 1890-1901
E-books about Glasgow - including Memoirs and portraits of 100 Glasgow men and Old country houses of the old Glasgow gentry
Voyage of the Scotia - Scottish National Antarctic Expedition 1902-04
E-books about Scotland - including Scotland in the 19th century and With nature and a camera
Virtual Mitchell - photographs of Glasgow from The Mitchell Library and Glasgow City Archives (GCA)
