Tourism
 Tourism currently nets € 1.7 billion in foreign currency each year, a tenth of Slovenia's exports. The sector also employs 54,000 people (6.4 per cent of all jobs in Slovenia) and makes up 3.7 per cent of the country's GDP (source: Government Communication Office Newsletter, October 2006).
