Novo mesto Cultural Centre is a multipurpose municipal cultural centre which presents a regular performing arts and film programme, with special activities for children (puppetry, drama, dance and film screenings and music lessons). All three programmes are available on subscription. At the centre one can see performances by local groups as well as touring performances by Slovene theatre houses such as Ljubljana Puppet Theatre.

The Centre is a member of the Artkino mreža (Art Cinema Network), which distributes selected high-quality films around Slovenia. The Centre's film programme presents predominantly European and Slovene film production.

The cultural centre also hosts conference activities, organising regular seminars, lectures and exhibitions.

The Cultural Centre's halls can be rented; the main hall is suitable for concert and dance performances, technically less demanding theatre plays, film screenings, conferences and meetings. The small hall and lobby area is suitable for smaller-scale performances, exhibitions and feasts.
