The University Centre for Euro-Mediterranean Studies, Scientific Research Centre (ZRC SAZU), Slovene Academy of Science and Arts , and the University of Nova Gorica launched a new scientific quarterly dedicated to Euro-Mediterranean Studies in May 2008: International Journal of Euro-Mediterranean Studies (ISSN 1855-3362) is an interdisciplinary forum devoted to studying issues at the intersection of humanities and social studies in the Mediterranean area with its cultural 'diversity in unity' represents a challenge for researchers in various disciplines.
The intention of a new International Journal of Euro-Mediterranean Studies (IJEMS) is to publish high quality articles in Humanities and Social sciences. The magazine welcomes in-depth analyses, case studies and research papers from scholars who share a vision of co-existence and mutual understanding in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The Journal is published in English with abstracts in French and Slovene. The first number of IJEMS will appear by November 2008 in order to be presented at the international conference on intercultural dialogue in Barcelona (http://www.mic.fm-kp.si/).
