The name of this Afghan NGO means ‘relationship’. It has worked in development in the Hazarat (central region) for five years, undertaking surveys, informing other agencies about the region and supporting emergency aid and construction projects. In 2001 Ertebat’s photo exhibition about the region raised awareness of the ‘hunger belt’ (see case study) and their newsletter reports on issues pertinent to aid and development.
