The National Film Archives collects all past films made by Afghan Film plus new films produced by the government film company. The Imported Film Archives collects and preserves foreign films, including a collection of 35mm films from the Soviet Union, Iran and many western countries. The Travelling Film Archives includes 16mm films which tour all the provinces.
