The government has decided to start English language training starting at grade four, however the lack of qualified teachers is of great concern. This Scottish NGO is setting up radio-based teacher training programmes as part of the Afghan Primary Education Programme for the English language teachers. It is responsible for the distance education component of this nation-wide three-year programming in partnership with Creative Associates International, Mercy Corps, Children in Crisis and Co-ordination for Humanitarian Assistance (CHA).
