In 2002, 20 Afghan teenagers went to Maine to meet teenagers from other war-torn countries to discuss their role in the peace process. Upon returning to Afghanistan they initiated projects to encourage Afghans to become proactive in the peace process and reconstruction. The project has laid the framework for exchanges and Seeds for Peace would be interested in collaborating in art exchanges for teenagers in the future.
