The Television Archives collects and preserves the television programmes of the nation. Numerous films were destroyed or deteriorated over the past 10 years and assistance in restoration is badly needed. Under the Taliban two thirds of the film archives were destroyed but 2,500 pictures were saved behind a false wall. Preservation of these is a priority needing funds.
