The Ministry of Commerce and Industry's vision is an improved quality of life, decent employment, and higher standards of living for all Afghans through the development of the formal economy.
The mission of the Ministry is to create an enabling environment for sustainable and equitable economic growth and opportunity for all Afghans by promoting private-sector development in a socially responsible free market economy.
The Ministry has three strategic objectives: (i) to promote the establishment and implementation of a legal and regulatory framework necessary to ensure the efficient and equitable operation of a free market economy; (ii) to integrate Afghanistan into the regional and global economy; and (iii) to facilitate and promote the development of a dynamic, competitive private sector.
