Established in 1994 within the two meditation halls D1 and D2, with financial assistance from Germany and Poland, Mỹ Sơn Site Museum houses a priceless collection of artefacts recovered from various buildings at the site, including bas-reliefs, statues and other carved items. A new purpose-built US$2 million museum funded by the Japanese government is currently being constructed by Quảng Nam provincial authorities at the ticket sales and site office area one kilometre east of the site.
