About the Cultural Profiles:
How are they created?
Librios CMS database viewIn order to guarantee accuracy of information and ensure sustainability, all Visiting Arts Cultural Profiles are created in full partnership with national government agencies (ministries, arts councils etc), whose staff are trained to work online using the Librios Content Development System. This means that Ministry partners maintain complete control over the inputting of content.
Following the appointment of a local Project Officer and a short period of in-country training, Visiting Arts and the country project partner work together remotely online via a Broadband Internet connection, creating the website within the state-of-the-art Librios XML-based Content Development System.
Cultural sector overviews are generally written under commission by leading local experts, while database material is gathered by the Project Officer. Inputting of textual content and images into the Librios Content Development System takes place under the guidance of Visiting Arts.
After the launch the in-country partner continues to proactively update and develop the website on a day-to-day basis, with an annual telephone check of the entire database to ensure accuracy.
