Literature
From Holberg to Ibsen to Åsne Seierstad's The Bookseller of Kabul, Norwegian Literature has a rich history and a thriving present.
According to Encyclopaedia Britannica, Norwegians read more than any other nation in the world, spending each year an average of 500 Kroner (£43) per capita on books. More than 2,000 new titles are published annually in Norway, some 10 per cent of which are by Norwegian authors.
