In Norway the cultural industries cover a range of sectors from art, design and architecture to fashion, literature, music and museums. In 2005 the cultural industries, as defined in White Paper 22 ‘Culture and Industry’, employed a total of 80,600 people, around 2.6 per cent of the workforce.
