Grotten
Grotten is situated in the Royal Gardens in the city centre of Oslo. The building is a wooden house, built in 1840 by the artist Henrik Wergeland. In 1992 it was decided to use Grotten as an honorary residence for Norwegian artists. Today the composer Arne Nordheim and his wife lives there.
Grotten is owned by Statsbygg - The Directorate of Public Construction and Property.
