The Polar ship Fram was the strongest vessel in the world. This remarkable vessel has advanced further north and further south than any other surface vessel. Fram was used for three arctic expeditions by Fridjof Nansen 1893-1896, Otto Sverdrup 1898-1902 and Roald Amundssen 1910-1912. Fram was built in 1892, and is exhibited with its original interior and related objects. A comprehensive history of arctic exploration is presented around the vessel.
