Established in 1948, the Việt Nam Architects’ Association is a national social and professional organisation which aims to promote the development of the architectural profession in Việt Nam. Its goals include increasing public awareness of architecture, facilitating a discussion between design professionals and the regulatory agencies, and fostering communications between design and building professionals. The Association currently has over 1,600 members throughout the country. Since 1983 it has published the bi-monthly Kiến trúc (Architecture) Magazine. It also organises the annual Việt Nam Architects’ Association Competition in conjunction with the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
