The Hà Giang Provincial branch of the Việt Nam Union of Literature and Arts Associations was established in 1992 following the division of Hà Tuyên Province into Hà Giang and Tuyên Quang Provinces. This Association currently has around 60 members and publishes the monthly Văn nghệ Hà Giang (Hà Giang Literature) Magazine.
