 The Hồ Chí Minh City branch of the Việt Nam Union of Literature and Arts Associations was established in 1963. The Association publishes the weekly Văn nghệ Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh (Hồ Chí Minh City Literature and Arts) Newspaper. Eight cultural associations are members of the Union.
