Originally established in 1948 but later renamed following local government reorganisation, Quảng Trị Provincial branch of the Việt Nam Union of Literature and Arts Associations was re-established in 1989 following the revival of the former Quảng Trị Province. This active Association currently has around 140 members and publishes the monthly Cửa Việt Magazine.
