The Yên Bái Provincial branch of the Việt Nam Union of Literature and Arts Associations was set up in 1995 following the establishment of Yên Bái Province in place of the former Hoàng Liên Sơn Province. This Association currently has around 70 members and publishes the bimonthly Văn nghệ Yên Bái (Yên Bái Arts and Literature) Magazine.
