As one of Norway’s central cultural institutions, the National Library aims to be the main source of information to increase awareness of Norway, Norwegians and Norwegian Society. The Library does not solely focus on Norwegian literature, and various international literature is also available. The National Library aims to preserve and provide access to information influencing current and previous society in all media. It has a National Bibliography which provides access to bibliographic production of documents. The National Library has two branches, one in Oslo and the other in Rana.
